Massive Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Destruction

Homeowners reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7cm in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that different parts across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

State Emergency Services handled 598 requests for assistance across the area, mostly for property damage but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

• Wyndham - 179 emergency requests

At one point on Sunday, over 28,000 electricity consumers in Victoria were without power.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the coast.

Tomorrow was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.

Safety Concern

Health officials warned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the current weather patterns.
