Ex- Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official said, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
