I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
