This latest animated series, the newest animated series from Critical Role, revealed a new opening credits. It showcases the beloved cast of misfits, misfits, and rogues kicking ass and taking names, while also hinting at several heart-wrenching personal histories for characters such as the voice actor's wizard Caleb, and another actor's orc warlock, Fjord.

Overall, the intro looks stunning. However, I felt that an element was lost in the music selection.

This sequence employs "Welcome to Wildemount", a truly stellar song created by producer and singer Colm McGuinness. It's a track from the official score of the same name, the second release released by the production company's music division their music brand. It's a great nostalgic option, and I believe that devotees of the sequel series will appreciate its inclusion.

Personally, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the excitement and energy that accompanied the show's actual-play adventure. "Your Turn to Roll", composed by musician Jason Charles Miller, was an instant classic in my view when it was first revealed in that year, and it only got better when co-founder Sam Riegel wrote words to the tune for the animated Campaign 2 opening in 2018.

Featuring vocals from Ashley Johnson, another performer, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the track was catchy and fun. At the time, I hadn't even watched the second campaign at that point, but it was so infectious that I still saved it on my phone. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an episode of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's intro with "the new song" fails to hit the same chords for me. It's an impressive composition, but from what I know of this party, I can't help but feel that its tone is a little off.

Naturally, Critical Role has stated that the animated show will have a few surprises and differences from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its intro seems to be among these.
