This incident resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
