UK Minister for Culture to Convene Meeting on Israeli Football Club Supporters Prohibition
The law enforcement official from the central England region has called for an urgent review of the decision to ban the Israeli team's supporters from attending the forthcoming match.
Simon Foster, who oversees the police department, explains that this request aims to verify whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced step to achieve a legitimate aim.
"This should involve consideration of all and any possible suitable, other choices," the official emphasizes.
The commissioner has additionally requested to examine the official ruling and suggestion from the safety committee, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
The commissioner stresses, though, that the ultimate ruling rests with the advisory group and the police.
